Il est rare de trouver des documents « officiels » référencés comme tels et de plus voyagés. Cette enveloppe servait à échanger, entre bureaux de poste, des documents fiduciaires - Mandats, chèques, traites etc… - pour le compte de ses clients. Il en est pour preuve la traduction des textes pré imprimés sur l’enveloppe (1). Comme nous sommes ici en second échelon de poids (21 à 40 g), j’en déduit que les envois étaient groupés (Hebdomadaire ?) et que l’enveloppe contenait plusieurs documents.

It is rare to find "official" documents referenced as such, and even rarer to find them travelled. This envelope was used to exchange fiduciary documents - money orders, cheques, drafts, etc. - between post offices on behalf of their customers. The proof is in the translation of the texts pre-printed on the cover (1). As we are in the second weight range here (21 to 40 g), I deduce that the mailings were grouped (weekly?) and that the cover contained several documents.
