Dans la légende de l’illustration, l’expéditeur a rayé le mot « China » et ajouté « Manchukuo ». Preuve que l’Hôtel Moderne avait vendu son vieux stock de carte postale d’avant 1932 jusque dans les hôtels de Moukden.

Mais il semble - dans le cas présent - que l’expéditeur de la carte postale, ne soit pas venu à Moukden que pour les affaires. Il suffit de lire ce qu’il écrit : « J’arrive juste à Moukden et dés que mes bagages arriveront je me promènerai pour voir la ville et si j’obtient l'adresse et le numéro de téléphone d'une geisha je vous le donnerai à New York. »

In the caption to the illustration, the sender crossed out the word "China" and added "Manchukuo". Proof that the Hotel Moderne had sold its old stock of pre-1932 postcards to hotels in Moukden.

But it seems - in this case - that the sender of the postcard did not come to Moukden just for business. Just read what he wrote: "I just arriving here in Moukden and as soon as my luggage arrives I will go around to see the town and if I get the address and telephone number of a geisha I will give it to you in N. Y.".
