LETTRE

Looking at this cover, one can see that the new postal system in Manchukuo is still chaotic. The sender used large postmarks to make sure his mail took the correct postal route to Germany. The Harbin cancellations are postmarks left by former Chinese postal workers. And, finally, the delivery time is one month and one day. This is due to the flooding of Harbin from the beginning of August (1). The rail links are cut. It is likely that this mail passed through Japan and the USA without specific indications being annotated on the cover.
